Erfaring

Jesper startede karrieren med nogle år i Paris, og i 1999 var han med til at stifte Scandinavian Design Group. I 2010 blev han medstifiter af 3X, hvor han derudover sad som Strategic Creative Director. Siden 2016 har han haft samme stilling i det kreative bureau Pearlfisher.

Motivation

Med en sjælden set flair evner Jesper von Wieding at kombinere unikt design med strategisk kreativitet, hvilket har ført Pearlfisher frem som et prisvindende bureau med stor gennemslagskraft. Særligt det seneste år har været et vigtigt kreativt år for bureauet, som i den grad har gjort sig bemærket i branchen. Dette bl.a. med det innovative challenger-brand, Sea Man Seaweed Chips, som det seneste år har høstet stor international anerkendelse med nomineringer og priser ved både The Dieline Awards, Transform Award, Creative Pool, D&AD og Pentawards. Prestige, som især kan tilskrives Jesper og hans innovative tække, og som hertil landede Pearlfisher prisen som “Årets Design Bureau” ved Creative Circle 2019. Det er derfor næppe nogen overraskelse, at Jesper også er på årets The M List.

Hvad har været din største professionelle succes i 2019?

The agency has stepped into a new space, successfully extending the reaches of design innovation and expression through the complete origination and lifecycles of client brands and products – from the innovation of new taste variants for Sea Man Sea Weed Chips to pace-setting, sensorial and scalable new packaging for Lakrids by Bulow.

Hvad ville du gerne have gjort mere af i 2019?

We are continuing to drive Lightweighting – an actionable and ownable way for brands to become more sustainable – and integrate it into every aspect of our work. But, we are also focusing on how we create better lives for people, a better planet and better, and more successful lifecycles, for brands with our new Design for Life Philosophy.

Hvad bliver din største marketingudfordring i 2020 hvis forudsigelserne om dårligere konjunkturer holder stik?

Whatever happens we have a bright future because, as a race, we are more conscientious and considered about how we act, think, make and use. Design has a huge role to play in building and creating relevant, meaningful and good quality brands and products that will make both our future lives – and the continuation of the planet – better.

Hvordan forventer du, at din rolle vil forandre sig i 2020?

I am committed to how Pearlfisher can create impactful change through design – and want to carry on being an advocate for design and design advancement – but I am passionate about becoming more involved with charities and non-profit organisations like Denmark’s innovative Fund School, taking a more fluid and dreative approach to learning.

Vil FN’s verdensmål påvirke dit arbejde i 2020 – og i så fald hvordan?

All 17 SDG’s are rooted in our design approach – and Design for Life philosophy – as we design for a better life for people/planet. As a united and global manifesto for change, we hope these goals will help us educate and implement design’s role in helping make this critical and necessary change a reality.

Hvis der var en i branchen du skulle give et skulderklap – hvem skulle det være og hvorfor?

Simon Boas Hoffmeyer, Sustainability Director at Carlsberg, for his dedication and passion in driving successful initiatives to fulfil Carlsberg’s ambition to become one of the most sustainable businesses in the world – such as the Together Towards Zero initiative, to establish carbon emissions at its breweries worldwide by 2030.
