I påskedagene offentliggjorde The One Show og ADC Annual Awards deres 2023-shortlister, og der er gode nyheder på listerne for rigtig mange danske cases.
Arbejde fra blandt andre Accenture Song DK, Virtue, NordDDB, Hello Monday/Dept, Twenty, Worth Your While og Marketsquare er således at finde blandt de shortlistede.
Især to cases, der også tidligere har modtaget massiv award-hæder, fører an.
Den ene er ’Chillboards’ fra NordDDB, der er shortlistet 12 gange ved The One Show og 13 gange ved ADC, og den anden er ’Backup Ukraine’, der er shortlistet 16 gange ved The One Show.
Sidstnævnte vandt Grand Prix i Cannes sidste sommer.
Men også ’Fingerspelling’ fra Hello Monday/Dept er med: Otte shortlister ved The One Show et det blevet til for casen.
Talt op på bureauer ligger Accenture Song DK i toppen, hvis man ser på The One Show alene: Bureauet har sammenlagt 18 shortlister for fire forskellige cases.
Svær at vinde
The One Show blev stiftet i 1973 i New York og fejrer dermed 50 års-jubilæum i år.
Prisen anses i dag for at være en af verdens mest prestigefulde kreative prisuddelinger. Og en af de sværeste at vinde.
Awardshowet får typisk omkring 20.000 indsendelser fra omkring 70 lande, og det særligt vanskelige skyldes blandt andet, at alle indsendelser ryger igennem et ekstra ”lag” af vurderinger.
Først bliver man shortlistet – det er de lister, der er ude nu – derefter gennemgår alle cases endnu en jury-vurdering, og kommer man videre derfra, er man ”Finalist”.
Disse klassificeres så igen i henholdsvis Merit (hædrende omtale), Bronze, Sølv og Guld – og øverst oppe kommer en Grand Prix.
Dansk Grand Prix én gang
Én gang i The One Shows historie er en Grand Prix landet på danske hænder.
Det skete i 2019, da Virtue vandt Grand Prix for casen ’adDRESS_THE _FUTURE’ for modebrandet Carlings.
En case, der få måneder senere også tog den første danske Grand Prix i Cannes i 16 år – og siden også Grand Prix ved Eurobest.
The One Show offentliggør ”Finalists” i slutningen af april – det er dem, der er sikre på en pris af en eller anden art – mens det først i starten af juni afsløres, hvilken pris det bliver til.
Selve prisuddelingen finder sted ved The One Show Awards i New York den 19. maj, mens ADC-priserne uddeles den 17. maj.
